Infra-Red Illumination

The 880 and 883 microlights have been designed to provide a low power, low cost, high performance infra red illuminator, at a size complementing CCTV camera equipment.

The units are constructed from aluminium alloy, powder coated and stoved with stainless fittings. Silicone ‘O’ ring sealing and one metre of high temperature outdoor cable, factory fitted, offers weatherproofing to BS.EN.60529 Level IP65 (no water ingress).

Average lamp life is 2000 hours with specially modified 12V 50mm tungsten halogen lamps.

The 880 can be supplied with 20W or 50W bulbs. The 883 is fitted with a 75W bulb. Both illuminator types are available with spot or flood bulbs and a choice of 715nm or 830nm dichroic filters.

Note: When fitting replacement lamps care must be taken not to touch the filament envelope or reflective inner face as this will be detrimental to the lamp life.

The 2020 range of infra-red illuminators have been designed to offer a cost effective solution to night surveillance, with either 300W or 500W output in a stylish pressure die cast enclosure.

These units provide a source of illumination for cameras with spectral response that extends into the infra-red region. To simplify operation and installation each illuminator is supplied with a built-in 25 lux light detector unit. These light-weight weatherproof assemblies have protective coated toughened glass filters and choice of sealed beam bulb. Replacement bulbs can be fitted in seconds. Full installation and maintenance instructions are provided with each unit.

The 2025 infra-red illuminator product range is designed for high power and long life illumination for CCTV cameras with spectral responses extending into the infra-red range. With correct use the product will provide over 5 years of maintenance free operation.

The unit comes with a dedicated power supply which requires a mains input.

The illuminator and PSU are rated to IP66.
