DV-IP Decoder is a networkable device which provides CCTV monitor integration with DV-IP Systems new or old. Each DV-IP decoder supports 5 CCTV monitors, enabling a cost effective and space saving approach to building video walls in control rooms. Using the network as the switching fabric, cameras can be viewed seamlessly on different media including CCTV monitors, PC's and PDA's.
The key to a flexible and scalable CCTV system is in the viewing. Cameras by default are distributed across an installation, however the viewing position is typically situated at a centralised point making it difficult to create additional viewing positions. DV-IP Decoder solves this as multiple DVIP Decoder's can be added at any available network point, therefore providing a cost-effective mix of CCTV monitors and PC/PDA viewing across the installation.
Typical applications include shopping centres, sports stadiums, casinos; university campus's etc. where the requirement to coaxial cable more than one conventional monitoring control point becomes costly and physically disruptive to install.
